Would that my feeble poetry
Had the power to set you free
Then thou would soar with eagles.
And if my words could hunger sate
Then never would be bare your plate
And thou would feast with regals.
Never should be quoth a spell
To cage thy heart in dingy cell
But I would speak the key.
No constraints may hold thee fast
Fettered to regretted past
If thou believe in me.
