It was may, one of the colder days in may, and as usual I had nothing to do.
It was raining outside so the park was off limits, as I turned to go to my room I saw a shadow by the window. I went right up to it and pushed my cheek up against the glass, it's cold radiance travelled through my warm silky skin, I felt alive.
I saw a black shape in the distance, it passed the cherry tree and drifted round into the woods, I decided to follow it.
Quickly I slipped my coat on over my arms and on to my shoulders, the zip was crisp and didn't get stuck, this was unusual as it was my fathers coat which is old and the zip was rusted.
I opened the door and creeped outside careful not be be seen through the. Kitchen window where my mother and baby brother were playing.
I followed the same path as my leader, and entered the woods, there was more cover from the rain under the furs.
There were many tracks in the woods and I couldn't tell which one was taken, so I followed the one which lead to the camp.
There was a clearing, i saw a small animal lying in the grass, at first I thought it was a fox but when getting closer I realise it was a fawn, "the mother must be feeding" I mumbled to my self.
I carried on following the dirt path when I saw the fawn again, this time it was running, it ran straight past me like I wasn't there. I knew this meant something so I ran after it- trying to keep up, then it stopped, The Mother Axis was lying dead by a tree.
