Hello again, and today is Sunday, November 18, 2012. Now lately I've been wondering how we split things into dichotomies. Like the difference between confidence and arrogance, even though we view them as two entirely different descriptions, when you start to look deeper, you find that the two are quite similar. They both share the conviction that your view is the right view, but one is encouraged wheras the other ostracizes you from a group. The line between being confident and being arrogant is very thin, and there is an even thinner line separating a confident person from toppling into the spiral of arrogance. The olny difference is that its not a boarder on which the line is set. Its on a cliff with your body wavering and your legs shaking on the barrier of confidence, hoping not to fall over the edge of the cliff to meet arrogance. And arrogance will mess your entire life up. It will tear down bonds that took years to build in seconds. It could let you lose a job, a friend, or a loved one. Our job is to stand the edge with our best balacing acts on and hope above all else that a breeze doesn't knock you over.
As always,
ZenMercury,
Keep calm, and stand the line with just enough pride that your body begins to lose balance, but never does.
