Deep inside your valley
You are cold
Your pulse beats hard
Your life's blood quickens
Yet a stillness
Ice that thickens
Spreads in shards
Toward your heart
Your body betrays you
Tense beneath
The touch you loved
Once held so special
Now repulses
Every fibre
Of your skin
Your meat/bone case
Deep inside your valley
There are stones
Fossils, extinct
Dinosaurs and beasts
Of pleasure, lust
Felt long ago
When they lived
And you still laughed
Humour fled these mountains
Stony folds
Now lie dormant
Their fire put out
No dalliance
To excite
Your valley's night
