We're on the phone for hours
You have to get your time
I very rarely answer
And you're never really sure
If you've got my full attention
I'm often on the go
And I'm more than often working
Or so I'd have you know
There's finance to discuss
And job prospects abound
I've got to put myself out
If I've any hope at all
You try to play the sceptic
But usually invest
Then again are disappointed
By my lack of hard progress
I gleaned how to be wily
At your patient, bended knee
To pressure what I want
From bodies, inch by inch
There's little that I learned
That wasn't learned by thumb
'Find your point and push it'
Signed, sincerely, Mum
