I bought a peacock shirt
Blue and red and gold
To wear on foreign beaches
And when the day grows old
Strolling about town
Harbour to tiki bar
In my dazzling peacock shirt
The dandy from afar
I bought explorer shorts
Sand coloured, fitted wear
To navigate the hills
Legs open to the air
Free amid the country heat
I'll look like Phileas
In my tough explorer shorts
The Captain and his lass
I bought blue canvas shoes
With double down hi-tops
For day trips to the city
To see the sights and shops
Feet up in the cafe
Feet down in the club
In my new blue canvas shoes
From latte to trip-dub
I bought black Ray Ban shades
in square, Wayfarer style
To peer at the ruins
Of an ancient, lost hill tribe
In Africa or China
Annunaki or Gaochang
In my Dylan Ray Ban shades
I'll see it all in tan
