A girl and a boy that met in a highschool soirée ended up as the best of friends. They would hangout in coffee shops, share a couple of brews, the girl would take care of the boy when he was drunk, and the boy would always be cheerful and a source of strength for the girl. The girl would be his drunk dial and the girl would talk to her 'Best' until she knew he was home safe.
'Best' that was how they called each other. It's been seven years of being bestfriends. People would laugh at that petname and were always convinced they'd end up together. "A man and a woman can't be 'just friends'." they all say. But the girl always thought that her Best was the exception.
