My Facebook is unbearable at this stage, I'm contemplating on deleting it. It hit me a while ago during a moment of clarity; why am I on Facebook? My news feed consists of people, essentially, publicising their popularity in their little social microcosms. And it's all down to fear, I think. Fear of being 'out of the loop', or out of the realms of the 'populous'. It's pathetic, really.

I use facebook to connect with my friends and family all over the planet, so I guess it all just depends on perspective. Why don't you just delete the annoying ones?
@extreme_bookworm I agree, I essentially use it as a massive address book. I have friends and family all over the place now and not everyone has Skype

@willheee and I don't think my friends ever check their mail.. So yeah, I agree with the "massive addressbook" :) @aaroooonnn yes, that's the best you can do I guess without deleting it.
