The smoke glistened on the lake,
As we recalled my mistake,
The trees a shadow of pitch black,
As I try to get you back,
The words spill from my open mouth,
And I realise I can't live without,
The time stops like my heart for a minute,
The world freezes, with everyone in it,
And all I can see are your eyes,
And all you can see are my eyes,
You know the song in my heart,
And you can sing every part,
But we aren't together,
And we won't be ever,
Cause it was only a dream.
