Discovered. ~1~

Jordan sat, staring at the innocent old man, Walter, listening to his wise words. He gave him everything. Practically saved his life. In a world like the one they lived in, his life should've ended the moment he took his first breath. Jordan's mother died giving birth to him. He never knew his father. He lived the first ten years of his life, under the so called "care" of his lunatic uncle. He never went to a real school. His uncle had a.. drinking problem. He was beaten for everything he did. It got to the point where one evening the poisonous man he called an uncle had beaten him bloody, sending him to the streets. He sat shivering, alone on the damp asphalt, alone, afraid, and in pain. A man in around his fifties approached him, where he laid, half conscious. He still remembered the friendly, almost comforting sound of his voice, reassuring him he was safe. He let the man take him, anywhere was better than his low-life uncle. He grew up in a manor, with a little girl with white feathered wings, and a boy, who turned into a wolf when the moon was full. The girl's name was Astra, always giggling and smiling. The boy's name was Flynn, a happy, scatter-brained boy. Jordan was faster, stronger, and swifter than the rest. He could run faster than any human, he could jump onto rooftops. Walter refused to tell him what he was, until six years later, August twelfth, His sixteenth birthday. Over the years, ten other children had moved into the manor, all with troubles and abilities. Walter provided them with help, and essentials. Teaching them how to control themselves, and their abilities. Jordan couldn't be taught. His mood always changed. He'd have furious outbreaks of rage, his glimmering green eyes would turn black, his every word was poison, his presence bitter. He felt alone. He had difficulty talking to people. Here he sat in Walter's office, discovering the truth that was covered for years. His heart raced. Walter folded his tender, winkled hands. "Son, I'm telling you the truth. Only the truth. Good or bad. Evil or good. Painful or relieving. Understood?" "Yes." He slowly let out a breath. "Jordan, your a half-demon. A forbidden species." He felt the colour leave his face, a wave of nausea. He dug his nails into the armrests. "No." "Yes, Jordan. I did all the research I could. Your father is alive, your mother is dead." Anger flowed through his system, white hot fury. He stood up. He didn't want to be evil. I wanted to be good more than anything. Part of him, a tiny piece of him, tucked in the very back of his mind he knew he was bad, but denied it. "Your good Jordan. I raised you to be good." Jordan ran his hand through his hair, his back to Walter. He felt a hot tear run down his cheek. "I was born bad. I'll never be.. Good." He whispered, storming out of the room.

@aloneinthewoods

I'm 15. I love creative writing. I've read fantasy all my life, fascinated and in love with the new characters and worlds I've explored. I'm a total nerd, and english is by far my favorite class in school. I get kind of depressed sometimes, so I write it out. I just love it. Throwing on music and getting lost in my stories, worlds, creations... Ooh, and I follow back! Please leave comments, I love to hear what you think, & your ideas:) hope you enjoy my dark little worlds and characters..
