Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there's some mistake.
The only other sound's that sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Robert Frost

* I don't mean to brag but I know this poem by heart. Reposted the whole poem, thanks again Mr. Frost for making literature an interesting one

I love this poem. We studied it in English and I can still hear my teacher reading it out :')

Same here, can't forget my teacher too. I would recite it when I walk home during winter/snow

Another favorite: Two roads diverge in a yellow wood😊

Yeah we studied that one too! I prefer it, I think; I didn't understand the stopping by woods one at all until he explained it, whereas I got the two roads straight away. Strange how some poems are so clear sometimes and others are just a load of gibberish!

@dreamingofmusic ditto on that😊

Glad someone else understands! I suck at writing poetry but I love to read it :) especially war poems!

@dreamingofmusic I try to make one but sounds cheesy, infact I posted 3 poems from my other account which I can't get access to anymore 😳, joijoi74😼

Rage! @amijoy74 I'll have a wee search and see if I can find them 😊

@dreamingofmusic 😝..something must be down as just got logged off and tried to log in many times but failed.. Ended up following my own previous account😳

@amijoy74 - that sucks :P yeah mine wouldn't let me log in so I had to change my password; I think there was a glitch or something :A
