They told me I was foolish, For getting close to you, They said you were incapable Of loving someone too.
They said you were a player, A guy that had no heart, They told me to avoid you, But I wanted you from the start.
I knew that it was risky, Getting close to you, Spending everyday in your company, And talking the whole night through.
They said that you would leave me, And find somebody new, But still all I wanted, Was to be loved by you.
I saw the things they didn't, I took the time to care, I spent all my time figuring you out, And what I found was rare.
I found something special, Something I'd never found before, I found that you loved me, And I couldn't ask for more.
