Clock strike 12,
Chimes ring through
Children sound asleep,
But that you knew,
Creak for the toy chest,
Squeaking loud
But the children lie still,
Sleeping sound
A shadow from the closet,
Darts all about,
When they sleep,
The toys come out
Jack in the box,
From under your bed,
The doll you left there,
When off came her head
In the doll house,
A plastic dinner prepared
Fed to your piggy bank,
Full of money you've spared
All the action figures,
A miniature battle,
From your toy farm,
The pigs and the cattle
But by the yellow
Crack of sun,
They all go back,
After their fun
So when the children are asleep,
Always remember
That the toys come awake,
Bought back in December
