What did people do in customer service jobs before computers? All day long men and women working in their respective employment stare and type God only knows what into endless keyboards and gawk at billions of computer monitors. Give someone a keyboard and a simple job and its like they are running the world with it single handedly.
As a customer or consumer you stand there in front of them waiting for them to have a moment in their busy schedule to look up and recognise you as the person who pays their wages. What were all these billions of people doing before the computer which was not so long ago? It is often as though these employed individuals are doing you a favour when they do decide to raise their head and look up at you. Then the favour only increases when they start punching information into their precious computer on your behalf.
You know who they are, they work in shops, hotels, restaurants, airlines, hospitals, doctors surgeries you name it they are there. You won't have to look hard to find them.
Be like me when you do, fuck off and go somewhere else. Oh, and make sure you tell em !
