Do Something

The one and only thing in life is for sure
Is death will come knocking upon your door
So what should you do with this short time
Apart from writing this little rhyme

If you can leave one thing behind
That in someway can help mankind
Perhaps it is something that you make
That you can leave in your final wake

Do not be just be another box in the ground
Having spent your life chasing the pound
Try and avoid being an urn full of ash
Gone for ever without making a splash

We as a race think we are so clever
With all our daily tiresome endeavour
So before its time for your final show
Stand up and do something before you go

It is not really for me to say
Whether or not that you should pray
But do not go without a fight
Before it 's time to go into that dark night
