The first time I climbed a mountain it changed my life Looking from its summit I felt void of all my strife From that day on my own little world had altered Thanks to the mountains I have rarely faltered
So when I feel low its up there I go It's up to the pinnacle with the ice and the snow Whatever it takes from me I will not give up Till I'm exhausted and shattered and reached the top
It's upon the very summit that I stand with the world for me to see Within myself I look down and have a feeling full of glee The insignificance of ones own own existence Gives me the strength of my own subsistence
