I have been thinking of late, which by itself is enough to burst blood vessels.
Regarding the above three program's, it would seem that where once the audience would rise to their feet when there had been a truly remarkable performance, now for some strange reason the judges and most of the people behind, race to get to their feet and cheer like crazy for what most of the time is a run of the mill act.
It now seems that all you have to do to get a standing ovation is turn up. I agree that there have been a few acts over the years that do deserve it, but ninety nine percent ? I think not.
For me it just cheapens the gesture for those that truly are outstanding acts.
