Aubergine, the heralded scholar from the isles of Iran was perplexed at the size of his feet.

Auvergne was an average sized Canary but his feet were at least twice the length of its wingspan. It's wingspan was about fifteen centimetres, I trust you can work out the size of his feet for yourself.

In order to unravel this perplexing mystery he decided to travel to the one place where he was certain to unravel the mystery, Clarks Shoe Store in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom.

Upon arrival he was astounded by the many different varieties of shoes on sale to not only scholars, also to the average everyday plebeians, even those who liked to eat things called Big Macs. Abba remembered back to his homeland in Iran, plebs were forbidden to buy shoes but yet in Leeds, plebs and dead cow eaters could without any kind of restriction.

It was a marvel of democracy and something he would never forget and hoped one day he could bring this to his homeland.

The store assistant could not help with Avril's foot predicament and he was disappointed to say the least. The store assistant pointed out that canary feet were a specialist subject and perhaps he should seek the advice of a specialist. Agnes asked the store assistant where he might find such an expert. The store assistant told him that the only living expert was dead.

Arnold was devastated by this news. He had travelled the earth in the hope he would find out why his feet were bigger than the average and without an answer he would now have to return home, without an answer.

There is good that comes from this tale. Ali was the first Iranian canary to ever visit Leeds. Since that fateful day, Iran and Leeds have been involved in a cultural exchange whereby canaries from Iran visit the Clarks shoe store in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom and plebs from Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom visit whatever they have got in Iran...
