Dark Side Of The Moon

Back in the 1970s when men were men and pandas were pandas and not nearly as endangered as they are today, people were allowed to smoke cigarettes in public without the fear of being shot by people who wanted to be healthy. It was a great time. Things then were really simple. A man new where he stood and a woman was making man his lunch and perhaps a pot of tea in the kitchen. A woman lived in the kitchen. She slept in the cupboard where the biscuits were kept. It was a great time. The Vietnam War was still on, the Cold War was still kicking about, Ethiopia were locked in a civil war as were the Lebanese, the Western Sahara War was happening, the Ugandan–Tanzanian War was taking place, the Ogaden War was short lived but can not be ignored and who could forget the classic Soviet war in Afghanistan?. That was a time when we wanted the Afghans to win. Times were certainly simpler back then. As I said, a man knew where he stood, likely in a foxhole dodging live ammunition and the occasional African war lord and sometime soviet super soldiers.
I remember the 1970s well. I remember them as if they were yesterday. They weren't though, the 1970s occurred about 43 years ago.

Back in the 1970s things were better. Not just better but more impressive. I remember the many natural disasters that occurred. My favourite was the Bhola cyclone. Other stuff happened too, microwave ovens became commercially available although they were too big to fit in the average wife's kitchen and Deep Purple happened to music. It was great but then some fella called George made a movie about space magicians and had to ruin it all but in the end some fella called Steven made a film about a shark so balance was restored to the universe.

I also vaguely remember that John F. Kennedy wasn't in the 1970s because he got shot to death in the 1960s.
