Would you raise your child to be a racist, how's about an anarchist or a Liberal Democrat?.
Why is it then that it is seen as OK to raise a child in a faith or religion?. Is it any different to the above examples?.
Children are raised throughout the world in the practices of religions. Some are even sent to school and taught to accept God as their saviour. I was one of them once.
Kids will pretty much accept anything they are taught or told as truth. Don't believe me?. How many of you tell your kids stories of Santa and his naughty and nice list, the tooth fairy, the boogeyman?... Easter Bunny?. All harmless stories to entertain children of course or perhaps a way to control your child?.
So how is it right to tell them that a man in the sky who is invisible to everyone (except to those who society deems are mentally ill) will send them to the pits of hell for eternity if they do not adhere to His will?.
Is it an extreme version of Santa's naughty or nice list?.
