The Grass Girl (P1)

*

True story. <3

"Did we lose them?" I turned my head over my shoulder, anxiously tucking a strand of my long hair over my ear.
Paul looked behind him, his fists curled together.
"I guess," he sighed, taking a moment to catch his breath.
Carrie was busy growling a string of curses at the group of guys that we'd just lost.
One of them was in one of my classes and had been very rude and disrespectful to me. I really disliked him. When he saw me, Paul, Carrie, and Kristen, he and his group of friends pursued us.
I was terrified.
This boy had done nasty things to me in the past. I didn't want to deal with him again.
"Ugh, relax, Em, it's okay," Paul said. "He's not gonna hurt you."
"I-I know...but he was following us!" I shrieked. "Like doesn't he have anything better to do?"
"Apparently not," Carrie growled.
And went on with her cursing.
"Well it's okay," Paul sighed. "They're gone now. And...now we're at a park."
I looked around at the swings and jungle gym, raising my eyebrows.
"I guess it's an okay hideout."
And we proceeded to bring out our inner child.
On the swings, of course.

Writing is my life. Forever. I want to be an author when I grow up. I write all the time. When I'm happy, sad, angry...it's an escape. Oh, and I love green hearts. I absolutely love them.
