And things got more and more twisted.
Paul pulled out his iPad, unlocking it and going to Sims.
"Oh no, not Sims," I moaned.
We both had Sims on our iPads, but I never really play it anymore. We have all of our friends on it, and the people that they have a crush on are their husbands/wives.
But guess who I'm married to? No, not Jason, not the Texas guy, not even any little crush I've had at school.
That's right, I'm married to Paul. We have a son, too. Whenever the opportunity for our Sims to divorce came, Paul would never take it, always making up some excuse.
He showed me a new Sim he'd made, that looked sickeningly familiar.
"Who's that?" I asked.
"That's Jason," he smirked.
"What?" I shrieked. "Paul!"
"Sally is going to marry him," he announced.
"Wh-what?" I demanded. "Wh-why? Paul!"
He looked at me, eyes wide. "Well...you're already married to me."
I frowned at him. "Uh..."
"You could get a divorce, Paul!" Sally cried. "It's just a game!"
Paul looked down at our two Sims and their son. "I-I know, but..."
I just stared at him, shaking my head.
"We have a kid," he mumbled.
I just kept shaking my head.
"Ridiculous," I thought. "You say you don't feel the same way...and then you pull things like this. Ridiculous, Paul.
Ridiculous."
