We hung out yesterday. Me, him, Sally, Carrie, and later Heather, at Sally's mom's house.
First, he and I played chess and he won after about seven minutes. Then, we all decided to play Mario Kart on the Wii. Sally's mom brought in snacks.
And then things started getting tense.
Paul and I started trash talking each other, just for fun. I insulted Paul very hilariously and Carrie looked at me with an open mouth.
"Oh, come on, Carrie," I laughed.
"No!" She cried. "I'm actually nice."
Then, Paul looked at me, and then looked at her. He reached out and patted her leg.
"That's why you're my wife," he said, smiling at her.
My mouth opened, and I quickly closed it, raising my eyebrows and putting on an amused smile.
Carrie looked at him, confused.
"On Sims," he explained. "We're married."
I pressed my lips together, feeling my body tense.
"You and Em divorced?" Carrie asked softly.
"She made me do it," Dylan proclaimed, a smirk on his face.
"Always blaming me, are you?" I asked, not looking at him.
Sally touched my knee, looking into my eyes. I gave a slight shake of my head.
Then, Sally got up to go get something, and Paul looked at me again.
His head snapped towards Carrie.
"Oh," he moaned dramatically, reaching towards her. "My wife. Ugh."
I stared, shocked, as Carrie went along with it, wrapping her arms around his waist and leaning her head on his shoulder.
"Ugh," she moaned, too. "My husband."
Paul made kissing noises, closing his eyes.
I looked away, my lips trembling.
The TV screen was incredibly colorful and I decided to focus very hard on it, tears stinging my eyes.
Then, I got a grip. It was just a joke. It just made me so angry that Carrie went along with that, when she has a boyfriend. I wouldn't do that stuff with another guy if Paul and I...nevermind.
Sally came back in, seeing my face, and frowning.
I decided to focus on winning the race instead of Paul's behavior, and I ended up doing just that.
I leaned forward, looking at Paul with a surprised and triumphant smile.
"Did I just...win?" I asked, fluttering my eyelashes at him. "I think I--"
Paul swiped his finger into the cheese dip and wiped it on my nose, shutting me up.
I cried out, sliding my own finger on my nose to get the dip off, and lunged for him. We started wrestling, and in doing so, knocked over my glass of Sprite.
"Paul!" I yelled, because he had been the one who had knocked my arm into it.
We immediately got up and began cleaning it up, with paper towels and rags. I went into the kitchen to grab another paper towel, and Paul was at the sink. He whipped around and flicked his hands in my face, splashing water all over. I yelled, looked up at him, at his mischievous smile, and knew I had to retaliate.
I turned on the water and wet my hands, whirling around. He shook his head, laughing, holding up his arms. I stormed forward, wielding my dripping hands, and he grabbed my arms firmly.
"Hey!" He yelled. "You can't accuse me of flirting if you do this kind of stuff!"
I looked up at him, surprised.
"You were the one who splashed me with water!" I cried.
I tried to push my hands and wet his shirt, but he was way too strong.
"You can't accuse me of flirting!" He said again, slipping his hands down to hold mine.
"Then stop touching me," I snapped, trying once again to touch him with my watery hands.
We kept wrestling, until finally, I gave up, wiping my hands on a paper towel, glaring at him.
We went back into the living room, where he immediately went to Carrie.
"Wife," he said, holding her hand, and looking at me with a smile on his face.
That was it.
"I'm going upstairs," I said.
"Let me be up there with you," Sally called.
I ran up the stairs and went to Sally's room, trying to take deep breaths.
"Why is he doing this?" I thought, closing my eyes. "Why?"

Writing is my life. Forever. I want to be an author when I grow up. I write all the time. When I'm happy, sad, angry...it's an escape. Oh, and I love green hearts. I absolutely love them.
