Our mutual friend Anna was house/dog sitting for her boyfriends parents while he and his parents were away visiting family, the dog was very old and quite sickly. She awakes up one morning about 8 days into the holiday to find the dog has passed away :(( She doesn’t want to spoil the holiday by ringing her bf and she certainly doesn’t want to leave the family pet to decompose in the living room until they return from holiday. She decides to ring my friend who advises her to take the dog to a vet who will be able to despose of the dog in the correct manner. Not having a car she decides to put the dog in a large hold-all and take by the train.
When she gets to the station she is greeted with the task of carrying the dog up stairs, when a stranger sees her struggling to carry the heavy bag he offers his services to carry the bag for her. Upon taking the bag he remarks that the bag is indeed very heavy and enquires what she is carrying. Not wanting to tell a stranger that its a dead dog she says, oh books, laptop, clothes etc ect, i’m going home from uni as I finished for the summer. On hearing this the stranger bolts with the bag, thinking he’s hit the jackpot, when all he has taken is the dead dog.
