Distant Star

Looking out from afar.
It is I, that I witness in the distance!
I stand alone;
Unique,
But then I do seek to pervade that Shadowy Dark.

It is I out alone -
Upon those mountainous,
Off-cut peaks!
Far from any human spirit.

Abreast of me
Stands the Great Lake.
What secrets dost thou hide -
From the naked human eye!

It is an organ which:
Perceives so little
And misses so much!
Like a toddler
On a whirlwind journey, seeing the world from re-awakened eyes.

And so I am still here standing.
Noting every slight change
Existing within the atmosphere
While others only look to the Distant Star above them!

Remember

Remember what it was like. To live among the light. To bask in its brightness. To feel all its might. Remember how it felt. For your ice cream to melt. And the hand you was dealt.

Ready Now

Ready to take on the day. In my own special little way. Ready to embrace. The sometimes cold human race. Ready to finally say goodbye. Now I have the answer to why. Ready to lay flowers.
