I am five again, When time was on my side, Staining paper with crayons And the nonsense phrases of my imagination.
Thereβs a picture hook on the wall in my office. The wall jutts out to assert itβs prominence. There is nothing hanging there, only potential. Wasted potential.
Another week has ended, Another week begins. By the end of this one, I hope My good deeds will outweigh my sins. This chapter's halfway over, The page now I must turn.
I've rusted over, Ran out of time. I'll embrace the fact, I'm way last my prime. I've gone off, moved a different way. But truth be told, You can't stop that day.
Ask me what I'm thinking, Ask me who I am. Ask me if I've lost my mind, Of sanity, I'm not a fan. I can assure you, you don't know me, So please don't assume a thing.
Are you are random thinking dreamer. The shape shifting images in clouds believer. Sat enjoying thinking about prose Deep heartfelt words they should know.
And I lay here. And I look upon the bay before me. I see all that my life has longed for before me. The reflection tells me how long it has waited for me. I stare deeper and see shiny orange.
What I would give to live a day in someone else's shoes. To see the world through a different person's eyes. To have different experiences. To feel new feelings and see new things.
