Another week has ended,
Another week begins.
By the end of this one, I hope
My good deeds will outweigh my sins.
This chapter's halfway over,
The page now I must turn.
I don't know what I'll read there
But I know for sure I'll learn.
The days pass like a flicker,
Ephemeral as dust.
I'll brush the remnants fast away,
And in myself I'll trust.
Another moment's died now,
But another has been born.
Steel yourself for the road ahead,
For the road past do not mourn.
Time passes far too quickly
To fritter it away.
So here's to moving forward.
Let's toast the remains of the day.
