Xmas.

Christmas.

Jesus's birthday.

The season to be jolly.

My mum asked me the other day why this one day was soooooo important. And I could explain it to her. Yeah it's a day off but why do we go through all the shopping and the food? Why is this one day so special than any other?

For the Catholics/Christians - it's a time to remember the saviour who gave his life for us. The son of god, who fought against his father and became a martyr.

But for those who don't follow religion, what makes this day so special? I'm asking for your opinion, cos I have no feelings about this day. All I got was looks of pity when I said I'd be spending it alone? So what guys, come on...tell me why it's so much more than a commercialised holiday!

I remember one Christmas watching a YouTube video of Jesus having a birthday party and no one turning up...which is pretty accurate these days. Sorry big guy!
