Now is everybody ready
Are you sitting comfortably
I shall begin to take you on a journey of my childhood T.V
On afternoons & weekends happily sat cross legged on the floor
I'd watch as that playhouse appeared with windows & a door
The Arch, Square or Circle, now which window will it be
I'd try to figure out & then I'd shout my answers out with glee
Jemima, Humpty, Big & Little Ted helped me learn things through fun play
With stories, songs and games to keep me entertained each day
Then over all the streets & houses Rainbow came shining bright
Bungle, George & Zippy were always such a funny sight
They'd always get into squabbles always doing something wrong
Geoffrey would come sort them out, Rod, Jane & Freddy would sing a song
Time for Jackanory & stories that gave me a love for books
Dahl, Carol & Andersen to so many wondrous worlds they took
The brilliant Sesame Street taught numbers, letters and more besides
Wished for cuddles from Cookie & Elmo & Snuffaluffagus rides!
This was just a little taster of my childhood shows there's more
Even though I'm a grown up now the little child in me still adores!
