Before I Go

I have a small bucket list it's true
Just a few things I've dreamed of my whole life through.
Since I was a child I've held these things close to my heart
So this is how my list will start:

I want to design fancy trinkets for you
Ones you'll want to adorn your body with all day through.
Rough hewn gems glittering in silver and gold
for your ears, fingers and wrists
go ahead, pile them on,
be bold.
I'd also like to be an actress
playing Shakespeare on the stage
Katherine, Lady Macbeth or Juliet
although I'm a tad past the age.
But most of all, I fervently desire
to lift my spirit on up higher
To release the ego and earthly desires.
I'd like to study with a Buddhist monk or a Christian mystic
To figure out the world's ills and how to fix it.
These few little things i'd like to do before I go
but meanwhile I'll dive right in and enjoy the show.
