Pretty little neat kisses
Drop like small raindrops that drip
Upon my lips
A smatter, a spit of glitter
So bright, a little bitter
A shine in your eye, a frosty gloss,
Each wishful kiss, brief and unsure
A touch, soft, sweet, a tiny shy flash of gaudy colours
Each one expected, but a tiny surprise
Popping and crackling inside my mouth
I wish I could see
Each one shimmer lightly like a little lick of sugar.
What a treat,
What a sweet delight,
What a wonder that makes me smile
A glittery syrup, sticky and sweet,
What a snap of pure delight.
