How can we prove that time goes forward? And is it possible to prove the existence of God?
Well, for a start, think about this: Whenever anything happens, energy and mass get more disordered. This is natural. If a tree burns, the ordered trunk molecules get scattered as ash and smoke. As I age, my molecules dissipate and decay until when I die, and my body rots into the earth. When you break a glass, it shatters. This is called Entropy. We can therefore say time increases when entropy increases. When you break a glass, it shatters, so therefore time has gone forwards. But while no events are occurring anywhere, we can't prove time is flowing at all, let alone in which direction. (pro tip: keep active and time will not stop!) Now hop in your time machine and set time to reverse. Glasses unshatter, trees unburn and atoms themselves will reorder themselves. Still with me? Now go back to the big bang. Time is nothing and therefore so is entropy. Noticed it yet? If entropy equals zero all atoms are perfectly ordered. There is the biggest explosion in the history of the universe and everything comes out perfectly ordered. If it hadn't the universe would by now have either imploded or been ripped apart. Coincidence? I think not. God might just have made the universe after all.
