Although not many people will probably care, I thought I'd say how I come up with my bad jokes (also I'd like to say I'm not the author of all my posted jokes). A large majority of jokes are based on a word or phrase with a double meaning. Quite a few jokes use this: they use a standard sentence that would go with one meaning e.g Brushing my teeth is really long and boring. They then use the unexpected ending which is the punchline - e.g I hate having hairy gums. This creates the joke (Brushing my teeth is really long and boring
I hate having hairy gums). Another layout is to think of things that associate with the subject of the joke, you can choose anything e.g I would love to get a job in the mirror shop, I can really see myself working there. This has an outcome of usually quite groany jokes, but some gems can be made. In jokes it is also better to avoid using any key words twice as it deducts from the effect of the joke. It usually takes surprise out of the punchline. If you read all of this you're amazing, this is how I learnt, I hope it helps!
