What are we? To humans we look like one of them. We blend in for the most part. They speculate about what other beings look like. When we come here we speculate what humans look like. They would be disappointed if they found that the Gray ,Bug Eyed, Big headed Alien was one of many species.
We, on the other hand, look just like you. But we have been here for a long time ensuring the Earth doesn't burn because of your mistakes.
What would you do? Shoot us because we are seen as manipulative. Welcome us as proof that life does exist elsewhere in the galaxy. We worry 'cause some of us are very different like your fictional x-men. But to use the cliche on the whole we come in peace, we defend the Earth from the next invader.
I ask you the next time you bump in to some one ask them what planet are they from? You never know you might have bumped in to us.
