The sunlight on my face woke me up.
I dashed down the stairs and went to the bathroom.
I brushed my teeth, and ran back upstairs. I put on a light brown sweatshirt, jeans, and some boots. It was cold and stormy outside so my clothing matched the weather. I was dumbfounded how I was so happy and having a smile on my face this morning. O. Jason. I almost forgot. Almost.
"Shoot!" I said, forgetting to take a shower, but it was too late. It was 10:00 and I had to be at work and it takes like fifteen to thirty minutes to get there. I locked the door and got my car keys and drove to work. My stomach rumbled. There was an Mc. Donald's on the next exit. I turned and went through the drive- through.
" Hi, I would like one small frappe, and a yogurt." I said to the speaker. The person told me the amount of money. I paid, and was eating/ driving to work. When I got there I through out the bag, having a full stomach and went to my manager office to meet Jason. I walked in and he was already there. They both turned around and looked at me. I felt my cheeks getting hot. " Hi" I said. "Hi" he said back. My manager introduced us, telling each other about our jobs and past cases. He had long black eye lashes, blue eyes, dirty blonde hair. I looked away, embarrassed if he noticed me staring at him. At the corner of my eye, I saw him staring back at me. After we both went to my office and looked through some cases we can solve. " How about this one?" he said to me. I looked at the files. It showed this man, unidentified by his name, but he had black hair, brown staring eyes. " It says he robbed two banks, stole a girls purse, and drove into a persons pool, after the police because he went over the speed limit. When they got there though, he was gone. " Interesting" I said. He smiled. "Well we can start looking for clues tomorrow" he said. I agreed. We lefts thirty minutes left on our shift. " So we don't have enough time to find anything, so do you want to go get a coffee?" I asked him. I wasn't very hungry, because I just ate, but this was worth it. " I'd love to" he said. We walked out of the door, he held the door for me." Thankyou." I said. As we had our coffee, talking smiling, we both looked out the window, a man walking. " O my gosh." I said. "That's our guy." Jason said. The one in the files. We threw out our coffee and were on the case, our case.
