Waking up in the morning
Sometimes I love it
Sometimes I don't
Today I'm not sure if I do or not
Beauty out my window
Across my bed
But there's still that savage pounding
Up about my head
Blue sky and no clouds
Makes me kind of happy
Out in the living room watching tv
Is my old pappy
A lawn mower across the street
Rumbles along the grass
Dazed in my head from sickness
Outside some cars pass
I'm still sick
Can't see anyone today
I'll just go out, sit by the pool
And read the day away.
