I managed to survive the rest of the week. Cassie was still the same. Yet again I had to walk home alone. I walk inside and go back up to my room. Thank God it's Friday. It totally slipped my mind that Joshes party is today. I pick an outfit out. Some jean shorts and a ruffled blue tang top. I'm really looking forward to this party. All I have to do is wait four more hours.

At 7:30 I decide to get ready. I slip into my shorts and tang top. I walk over to my vanity desk and grab my mascara and lipgloss out of the drawer. I put a little of it on and then squirt some perfume on. I go and look in the mirror and twirl a few times. Lookin good. I go downstairs and walk into the kitchen. Some dinner is laying on the table for me. I eat just a little because I'm not sure if their will be food at the party or not. When I'm finished, I go over to the front door. I slip on my sweater and then go outside. I walk across the yard and go up to Joshes front steps. I pause. What if something goes wrong? What if no one likes me? Emma, I think to myself, what's the worst that can happen? It's probably only a few people. I open the door and go inside. My eyes almost pop out of my head. Theirs like one hundred people here! I squeeze through the crowd. That must be the dancing room because it's the most crowded. I look around for Josh and finally find him after five minutes of searching. He's surrounded by a group of people. I stand on the outside of the group waiting for him to notice me. Once he does, a grin speeds across his face and he pushes through the crowd to come over to me.
"Guys, this is my friend Emma."
I say hi really quietly and so do they.
Josh looks around and pulls one of the guys that walk past over.
"Umm, Ryan this is Emma. Emma this is Ryan."
"Hey Emma."
"Hey Ryan."
I feel so awkward right now.
