"Ha! You remember now don't you?" his voice was as sharp as a knife, chilling the air. He straightened and flicked his inky black hair back.
"Thought you'd done nothing wrong eh? Well turns out Topaz invited me along too. To remind you." a sickly sneer was plastered onto the tight white skin around his mouth and his onyx eyes glistened with revenge.
Lily was too stunned to speak, her brain was whirling with all that he had said.
"Don't be shy now Lily. Come on and tell everyone what happened." he simpered. The cave fell silent. A pin drop could have easily echoed through the walls of the cave and it would have been heard. Opal had stopped whatever she had planned and was stood tapping her foot impatiently against the slimy cave floor. Topaz stood next to Pearlia with a serene atmosphere, which portrayed as if nothing had occurred.
Lily gulped. A sea of snakes knotting tightly in her stomach and a film of bile rising in her throat.
"It was two years ago now that I was dating this boy, err he was called Edward. He was planning something I don't know what, but when I decided that I'd had enough of him I err... Dumped him."
Lily paused trying to compose herself.
"Anyway, he was so distraught, he begged me to get married to him and strange things like that, I denied ever knowing him. He said he would go. Leave me alone forever."
She trembled for the next sentence.
"And that seemed like the best thing ever.
Until he..."
"Until he what?" Opal hissed.
"He died."
