There sits a girl
A lonesome soul
In the cafeteria, eating her meal
Wishing for time to move fast
So she could escape the misery
Every where there is sound
Talk, music, the blare of a tv
She wishes for another soul to come over and say hi
She waited, and waited but no one came her way
She regretted siting by herself
Feeling like a fool
Oh how they must be laughing at her now
She sat still
wondering why people wanted so desperately for the power to be invisible
When it's so easy to accomplish
Without effort
At least to her anyway
Just look at her
Does she exist?
she hasn't a clue
How to talk, or be assertive
To attract or be interesting
All she wanted was for someone to notice her.
Was it too much to ask?
