Standing in a field near Manchester town
Dancing and singing trying not to drown
The bands are playing,it's pouring with rain
Drunken people swaying with only music on the brain
Nothing else matters just music and dance
Taking over your mind in soul soothing trance
Feel a million miles away from trouble and strife
Want to stay in this moment throughout my life
Want to close my eyes and come back here
Anytime I feel fed up and sadness is near
Euphoric and drunk on the atmosphere
The music and people making everything clear
Dancing with strangers playing cheering games
girl sitting on my shoulders,don't know her name!
The sun going down,the rain stops and it's dry
The girl on my shoulders starts to shout and cry
'they're on the stage! Get closer! Please try!'
But the crowd surge forward all at the same time
The band strike up at bang on nine
Two hours of flying high on a sea of sound
Loud indie rock music lifts us almost off the ground!
