The Muse (Chapter 9)

Quite long sorry, but there's quite a lot of Drama

Shanea stretched slightly, her mind fresh and happy after she'd had her interview for Red Magazine, which if she did say so herself had gone very well, she rolled over .
Zach heard Shanea wake and turned to face her, "Happy Birthday beautiful." He kissed her lips softly, he'd snuck in, his plane landing at midnight, and Shanea had already fallen asleep with a welcome home cake in front of her.
She blushed and kissed him back, he pulled away softly and smiled.
"Thank you. Sorry I didn't stay awake for you coming home.." Shanea murmured, feeling guilty.
But not as guilty as Zach was feeling, he smiled at his girl, the prettiest, funniest, perfect girl ; she was all his yet he had made a mistake that could've ruined their relationship. No. That will ruin their relationship, Zach thought, Shanea might of been confident around him, but as soon as one little thing would happen she could easily break into a thousand pieces. Zach also had to tell her, it was the gentlemanly thing to do. Even if it meant loosing the one person he woke up in the morning for, the one girl that lit up his world like nobody else, his one! He wanted to marry Shanea one day, and he wanted to have a little family of his own ; he with Shanea, they'd be the proudest parents around and the happiest husband and wife. So as Shanea lay in his arms, him caressing her face lovingly and she nuzzling into his chest, they would look like a perfect couple if only one of the couple had stayed perfect. Shanea smiled at him ; leaned up and kissed his lips so softly, he kissed her back but not with the same spark, he realised after his one stupid mistake he had ruined everything. His life was pretty much over. She pulled back ever so gently and laid her hands on his bare chest, he warmed as she touched him and his eyes turned a charcoaled grey, full of sorrow.
" Are you alright baby?" she whispered, worried.
" Yeah I think I'm coming down with something that's all." he said, adding a cough in. She immediately wrapped the thick duvet around them and slipped out of bed, in her pyjama's, She ran lightly to the bathroom and took a glass, two tablets and filled the clear crystal glass with water. Shanea walked back into the room, "Hey here you go baby." she passed him the painkillers and set the water down on the minimalistic metal cabinets. He nodded in thanks and pretended to take the small pills, Shanea turned around to get dressed and he slipped them into a draw in the cabinets, then when she turned back around in a shirt and panties, Zach gulped his water.
"Have you seen my chinos Zach?" she said picking up various bits of clothing. "Oh and that sweater.."
Zach immediately knew the sweater, and grabbed it off the floor, he'd been wearing it for the flight, he chucked the big ball of navy at her and she caught it perfectly, holding it up to her face and stroking it lovingly. She bit her lip and slipped the jumper over the top, he climbed out of bed and also hunted around for the chino's.
"Oh they might be in your cAse by mistake?" Shanea asked, heaving Zachs case up onto the bed and opening the zip ; she rooted through, until she got to the bottom, and a Lacey black bra was lying there... She checked the size, 30B it couldn't be hers!
"Zach?! Did you cheat on me..?" tears were now stinging her eyes, as her one true best friend, lover, and what she thought was an all round perfect guy had cheated on her. Zach walked up to her, only to be met by Shanea pushing him away.
"Just tell me. Yes or no." her chest was heaving and as she stared into Zachs eyes, she felt herself holding back floodgates.
Zach couldn't lie to her. She was perfect. In every way possible so he took a deep breath, stepped back, and spoke with an emotion of anger, but not at Shanea, at himself.
"Yes."
She tried to lash out, but Blake and Harry walked in, didn't flinch that Shanea was half naked, but took Zachs arm, one each, and took him outside, shortly, Blake re-appeared.
"Hey." he said softly, sitting in a clothe covered chair.
"If your here to defend him then just go away!" she sobbed into his sweater and chucked a vase at the door violently, Harry and Derek walked in at exactly the same time. Derek ducked and Harry pulled himself against the wall.
"Sorry." she murmured at the two guys.
Derek came over and put an arm around her,
"It hurts I know. My Ex boyfriend did the same to me." he said, the guys already knew Derek was gay, and that didn't affect their relationships with each other what so ever, but they didn't know he'd been cheated on. Harry gawped a bit and sat on Blake's knee, to much annoyance from Blake, Shanea sobbed into Derek's soft cotton top, and he shrugged at the two other guys, a look of 'what do I do now?'.

Zach sat against their bedroom door, listening closely, with his head in his hands. He couldn't go in and just simply apologise ; he'd slept with another girl and for that he should be shunned for the rest of his life.
