@patdolan83 - thank you for writing/sharing your poem "mummy" and helping me to remember mine and inspiring me to write this.
A beautiful poem has truly moved me close to tears, Has made me embrace some of my well hidden feelings and fears.
I have repressed so much pain it nearly tore my soul apart, I had a year of therapy to open up the pain that's been hidden in my heart.
As I grow older and wiser and start my own family tree, I sometimes forget how you were the glue that held our family.
Sometimes I forget what you used to look like, And how much your pasta would bring me so much delight.
As I move on I hope I have made you proud, In a strange way I hope to see you at the wedding watching me from the crowd.
