A slight little thing,
Dressed all in white,
Around the forest her enchanting voice sings,
Songs of love and light.
She dances around,
Oblivious to any wrong.
If only she'd stayed quiet and not made a sound,
Her innocence unfortunately did not prove to be as strong.
Her small life was crushed before her eyes,
All that was heard: a cry and a yelp.
If only her innocence hadn't shadowed the lies,
Then maybe she'd have known to holler for help.
All it took was a week or so of watching,
For that disgusting man to convey his wretched plan.
Too soon he was finished with the taunting,
Then he had her back onto his land.
There would be no escape for her now,
She was a gonner, as soon as she'd accepted his ride.
Her innocent stance made her as easy as a clown.
If only she'd run away to hide.
A sweet innocent girl,
Her life crushed,
After only fourteen short years to give it a whirl,
If only she hadn't been under innocence's hush.
