You're robbed of your opinions and feelings
For hopefully just one night
And you don't laugh when you hear your favourite joke
And you don't sing when you hear your favourite song
Because something about the world is different tonight
And the difference revolves not only on the surface of the giant ball we call home
But on the rings around our heart
You understand your irrelevance
And how you are essentially
Just one small speck of dust on one big giants eye
How you have the power of a floating dust particle
Revealing itself through the crack of light that pushes through a slit in the blind
And it's just one of those nights
