Fluorescent acquiescence,
Lingers undramatically here,
Beside me.
As you walk away, in admonishment,
Acknowledging my incandescent apology.
'I'm sorry' I said.
You shook your head.
A midnight waning moon watched us part acrimoniously,
Deliberately condoning me,
Congratulating beams of light celebrating this
Cacophony of lost intimacy.
Why?
Like this, tonight?
Distantly, you now despise me,
Intricately, you think you are wise to me,
But why?
Tonight?
Sadistically? Surprisingly nihilistically you want to spite me,
Indite me with your ritualistic accusations of infidelity,
And consequently,
Leave me, abandoned
Here,
Alone,
with only the sea,
for companionship, and only the waves to surreptitiously
comfort me.
The sound is like the resignation in your eyes;
A sombre, fading melody
to our lives.
