Us, Unmistakably Beautiful

Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Who is the fairest of them all?

'Me!' Said Love, sugar sweet as caramel,
'Me!' Said Time, his smile eternal,
'Me!' Said Fate, her face twisted and cruel,
'Me!' Said Laughter, playing the fool,
'Me!' Said Sex, deeply and carnal,
'Me!' Said Desire, bewitchingly sensual,
'Me!' Said Hate, screaming like an animal,
'Me!' Said Work, slow and banal,
'Me!' Said Life, beautifully unimaginable,
'Me!' Said Death, dutifully inevitable.

And me?
I said 'Earth; a miracle infinitely wonderful'
And
'Us, unmistakably beautiful'

On this Christmas Eve.

This is very cleverly done. I could hear each voice in my head. Brilliant poem and writing 💜
