"Are those snakes?" Kitty asks me in a whisper.
"Where?" I reply.
"Over there in the corners."
"I think your right!"
The corners of the walls are covered in snakes. It's as if the walls themselves are made of them. Mr. Hughes turns around. Except he's not Mr. Hughes anymore. His eyes are as black as coal and his face is all scaly and green.
"Now I've got you!" he hisses.
What the hell?! What's going on?! Before I can think anything or make any sense of anything he attacks. He swipes out with a large furry paw with huge claws on it. I grab Kitty and jump back. We disappear.
"Where are you?!" he screams.
I can feel something on my back. I turn around. The snakes on the walls are coming towards us. One slithers down Kitty's leg. She screams and reappears. Hughes turns around whipping his long barbed tail. I dodge. I send a mind blast at him, it, whatever it is! He flinches but that's it.
"Split up and work from each side!" Kitty shouts.
She disappears and reappears on Hughes' far side. I concentrate all my mind on his head. BAM!!! I hit him and he crashes forward into the wall. Kitty pounces on him and starts tearing at hi face and throat. He lets out an almighty roar and rears up. His head has changed into that of a lions! His arms are gorillas with claws. He starts punching and scraping wildly. Kitty's disappears again. His left eye and throat are bleeding. I hit him again in the head and he falls over. I stumble. Ugh my head... He get up and sees me. I try to hit him but I can't. He charges. Oh shi... Kitty reappears, grabs me and disappears over to the far side of the room. she reappears and put me down. Hughes keeps charging and smashes through the cabin wall. All the snakes turn black and die as sunlight reaches them.
"You okay?" Kitty asks.
"Yeah, thanks to you," I reply.
I'll have to repay hr for that.
"Look, I think I have this guy figured out," she says. "He can shape-shift and maybe controll animals. But I still don't get why he's trying to kill us."
"Okay, how do we beat him?"
Before Kitty can answer a giant rock hit her and she crashes into the wall, breaking another hole.
"KITTY!!!"
Hughes stumbles in the other. Blood gushing down his face. He's gunna pay for that! I send a huge blast his way. He's knocked off his feet and thrown out of the cabin. I stumble out after him. He's lying face down. I walk over to him. He morphs into a deer like creature with enormous horns. I back away. He stands up. There's a sizzling noise. He runs under a tree. I think I know his weakness.
