Not always so kind.
A harder task mistress
You never could find.
Impersonal you think?
You may be right
As you watch, an onlooker
Her kingdom's fight.
It seems she does nothing
To stop all the harm.
The rape and the torture,
No healing balm.
Her wards cannot hold back
The tide that sweeps by.
So maybe she wonders
This destruction, why?
You see I don't think
She cares not a damn.
I believe she is biding
And completing her plan.
Mother Nature will answer
The pleas of those in her care.
Then all those against her
Had better beware.
Her wrath will be awesome,
Her fury unbounded.
As she rescues her creatures
From those who have hounded.
From those who have wantonly
Torn from the earth
All that is wholesome,
And of much precious worth.
She will not forgive,
As the balance she restores.
As she gradually heals
The earths open sores.
Will you stand by her?
Will you lend her a hand?
Take strength from around you,
Back in touch with the land.
Mother Nature is patient
She'll sit and she'll wait
For mankind to finally
Face up to it's fate.
