There's a dragon in my bedroom
Stinking out the place,
Huffing out its rotten breath
In everybody's face.
The family often wonder
What it eats the night before.
To warrant all the poisonous gas
Drifting across the floor.
It yawns and grumbles mightily
That the day has started early.
Everyone treads with extreme care
Until it decides to be less surly.
This dragon has a partner
Who is patience personified.
He smiles and waits quite calmly
As his brows are slowly fried.
He takes the loss with a simple shrug,
And cuddles in quite close.
Daring to brave that other things
Must surely get a roast.
Good morning darling he smiles at me
While blinking back tears of pain.
I love you and without your dragon breath
Things just wouldn't be the same.
