Truth Hurts Part Fifteen

-------Christopher's Point Of View------- The car ran the red light. All that went through my head was Lisa. I couldn't move my arms, so I just kept going forward. Images passed. But not of my whole life. Just the times I was with Lisa. Her smile, her beautiful, brown hair. But mostly her eyes. Those amazing, big, brown eyes. And the look she always gave me. I couldn't die, I couldn't leave her at her time of need. So I did what I needed to. I swerved to the right, and the car missed me by inches. I crashed into a sign, but I was okay. Slowly, I got out to see that the worst damage done was just a scratch along the car. I could fix that. I turned, and saw the other car. Totaled. It looked as if it were smashed into pieces. People were getting out and screaming now. "Call 9-1-1!" "Get some help!" "Go check out the other driver!" "Are you okay?" someone asked me. "Y-Yeah. A little shaken, but I'm okay." I said, still looking at the other car. "The driver is alright," the stranger said, sensing my concern. I breathed a sigh of relief. I saw someone approaching. He was about my age, but shorter and a bit chubbier. "Hey man. I'm so sorry I ran the light. My brakes weren't working." he said, apologetically. He was scared. "It's okay. No damage done. We don't need to take this to court." I responded, patting his shoulder. "Really! That's great! Thanks!" he said, relief filling him. "No problem. Listen, I need to go. If the police ask, tell them they can call to this number. Okay?" I said walking away already. "Sure thing, amigó! Thanks!" he shouted after me. I hopped into the car and drove off to go home. I drove very carefully, though. I arrived, turned the car off, got out, and entered, the house. There she was. Fast asleep on the couch. I leaned over her and smiled. But then, she woke up. -----------Lisa's Point Of View----------- I woke to see Christopher looking at me. I smiled. "Hey sleepy head." he answered casually. I smiled and stretched, but immediately felt a pain in my stomach. "Ah!" I screamed and ran to the restroom where I threw up. "Lisa!?" Christopher asked, scared. "What did you eat... Or are you...???" he asked, eyes wide. "I'm still a virgin." I muttered, then added, "I only drank the medicine." He left to go retrieve it, and I threw up again. He came back. "What the- This medicine was expired nearly two years ago!" he shouted. The nausea had already passed. "Throw it away." I said, washing my mouth. He nodded and threw it away. I hugged him and said,"Thanks. I owe you one." He hugged me back. "You're letting me live here. That's why you never owe me." I smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek. I left him there in the restroom, where he stood stunned.
